GEHA - Genetics of Healthy Ageing. The Italian National Research Centre on Ageing is a governmental institution of excellence in the field of Gerontological Research and Geriatrics. The Institute has more than 30 years of research experience in ageing research, and includes studies on genetics of longevity and age-related diseases such as diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular diseases and osteoporosis. The approaches used to identify the human longevity determinants are based on population studies of genetic and non-genetic factors influencing the health of the population.
