EPALE: e-Platform for Adult Learning in Europe

in Portals

EPALE is a multilingual open membership community funded by the European Commission. The site is designed to be of interest to teachers, trainers, researchers, academics, policy makers and anyone else with a professional role in adult learning across Europe. EPALE has been set up with the adult learner as the ultimate beneficiary of the development of the adult learning sector, in a formal or non-academic environment, but the site actually targets those who deliver and organise adult education rather than the learners themselves. Organised around five adult learning themes: learner support; learning environments; life skills; quality; policy, strategies and financing. Has a developing range of sites and tools: calendar of events, blog, newsroom, glossaries of terms. An entry for EPALE can also be found under Databases.
